Bokeh Game Studio has unveiled new details for its upcoming horror action game Slitterhead, introducing new characters, skills, and setting facets.
In combat, the host’s blood can be consumed to generate a Blood Weapon, which is used by pressing the attack button repeatedly for consecutive strikes. Most enemy attacks can be blocked during a weapon stance, enabling counterstrikes. However, blocking too often will break the weapon and cause a minor health loss each time.
Hyoki can avoid danger by swapping possessed hosts, which will be necessary given the fragility of human bodies. Enemy attacks can be repelled and negated with the Deflect technique, communicated by the UI lighting up the essential direction. Attacking an off-balance foe will provide a counterattack and restore Blood Weapon durability. Attacks that aren’t indicated by the UI as deflectable must be evaded.
For the main story progression, players can select which missions and two Rarities to accompany them. The gameplay loop is comprised of tracking down and defeating Slitterheads hidden throughout each area. Some missions are focused on combat, while others require stealthy navigation. During Intermissions, players can converse with Rarities, enhance their abilities, change their costumes, and more. New missions can even be unlocked from conversations.
The new location, Mong Tsui, is described as the following:
Spreading through the heart of Kowlong, this vibrant district is also known as the “Sleepless Zone”. While dazzling neon sign boards line up through the crowded streets, the shadows are filled with criminal organizations and brothel rings, making it a dangerous area regarded as the epitome of chaos and depravity.

Check out our previous coverage detailing gameplay abilities.
Slitterhead occurs in Kowlong, a locale of chaos where players control the Hyoki. This entity has no memory or physical form, with its only purpose being to eradicate the monsters known as Slitterheads that disguise themselves as humans. Human allies, known as Rarities, are crucial for this endeavor, with the powers of blood determining the outcome of battles.
Taking control of human bodies enables slipping through barriers, taking on specific identities, infiltrating certain areas, and swift traversal via switching hosts. Burning human life force transforms blood into weapons.
Keiichiro Toyama, the director for the original Silent Hill and Siren, founded Bokeh Game Studio and previously announced this title. The game will feature music from Akira Yamaoko, who composed the soundtrack for multiple Silent Hill titles.
Slitterhead will be released on November 8, 2024, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
