The Legend of Heroes Kai no Kiseki -Farewell O Zemuria- Introduces Latoya Hamilton, Yun Ka-Fai, Celis, Leon, Shizuna, and Kurogane in New Screenshots and Profiles
Nihon Falcom has updated the official website for The Legend of Heroes Kai no Kiseki -Farewell O Zemuria-, providing character profiles for several characters.
In particular, Latoya Hamilton, Yun Ka-fai, Shizuna, Kurogane, Celis, and Leon have all received dedicated profiles and screenshots. However, only Hamilton and Yun Ka-fai have new renders.
You can view the new character renders and screenshots for The Legend of Heroes Kai no Kiseki -Farewell O Zemuria- via our galleries below. The profile translations originate from Gematsu:
Professor Latoya Hamilton – A former chief consultant for the manufacturer Verne Company and an honorary professor at the Basel Institute of Science. She is one of the top three disciples of C. Epstein—also known as the “Father of the Orbal Revolution”—and her belief that rural and remote regions needed orbments more than anywhere else has led her to many achievements throughout the Republic.
Despite being a renowned scholar, she treats everyone equally. She works tirelessly for others, such as securing water sources in Tharbad, planting trees in the Middle East, and introducing countermeasures to the declining soil fertility in East Zemuria.
It seems she participated in some way regarding the incident of the Grendel Zolga in the Republic.
Yun Ka-fai – Wielding a long sword from the far east, he is the founder of the school of the Eight Leaves One Blade. Having reached “kotowari,” he is a swordsman known as the Sword Hermit.
It is said that due to reaching “kotowari,” he has gained “Tengen Eyes,” which allows him to see any natural phenomenon in this universe without obstruction.
Since founding the Eight Leaves One Blade school, he travels throughout West Zemuria, looking for disciples who he sees potential. He has been training swordsmen known as Divine Blades, including Rean Schwarzer.
It seems he has a deep connection with Shizuna, who wields the cursed long sword Akegarasu, as well as the Black God One Blade school.
Leon Balthazar – One of the 12 Dominions, who lead the Gralsritter of the Septian Church. He is the Eleventh Dominion, and is also known as “The Glacial.”
He is a friendly and pleasant young man, but becomes ruthless in battle while wielding a rapier variant of the Templar Sword.
Like Celis, he has “senior disciple” relationship with Van, but is much more skeptic of him compared to Celis.
Leon works together with Celis, in contrast with Kevin, who, despite being a Dominion, acts in a completely different manner and direction.
Shizuna Rem Misurugi – A master of the Black God One Blade and also known as the Divine Blade of Silver, she is the vice commander of Ikaruga, the SSS-level jaeger corps in East Zemuria.
She uses an Onyx Odachi as her weapon, known in the east as a cursed sword called the “Akegarasu.”
For over a year, she lay hidden in the Ishgal mountain ranges in the eastern area of the Republic, all the while leading the Ikaruga. While performing preliminary inspection for a top secret mission contracted by the Executive Office, she met a junior disciple in Rean.
In this installment, she reunited with Rean, also known as the Divine Blade of Ash, while on contracted missions for the Executive Office. Once more, their blades clash on the lands of the Republic.
Celis Ortesia – One of the 12 Dominions, who lead the Gralsritter of the Septian Church. She is the Fourth Dominion, and is also known was “The Searing.”
Although giving off an impression of being small and cute, she is foul-mouthed and is quick to glare at anyone who annoys her. She also has a delinquent nature, smiling ferociously at any opponent she deems worthy of fighting.
She has mixed feelings towards Van, who was a “secret disciple” of her master Bergard Zeman. Although she keeps a distance from him, it does seem like she respects Van’s style.
Celis stands at variance with Kevin, who goes off on his own despite being a Dominion himself. She does not waver in her stance.
Kurogane – A shinobi from the East, he is a large, masked man of SSS-level jaeger corps Ikaruga. He calls the Shizuna, the second-in-command, as “Princess.”
He has the appearance of a true warrior, whose strength can only be understood by those who have gone through countless battles.
Even among Ikaruga, a group of shinobi and sword wielders, Kurogane’s superhuman body, martial arts, and honed hidden weapon techniques—known as the Rougetsu (Hazy Moon) style—give him the strength that rivals even the Enforcers of Ouroboros.
He is considered to be the next leader of Ikaruga. While he mainly uses Rougetsu techniques, he is also versed in the Black God One Blade style.
The story heavily features Operation Startaker, a national-scale project by Calvard’s 23rd president, Roy Gramheart. The aim is to reach beyond the atmosphere by aiming communications satellites via Orbal Rockets and eventually send humans into space.
Through Operation Startaker, the goal is to discover answers to environmental problems by using satellites to grasp information from high altitudes. Further, a new Orbal communication network is planned to be made via these satellites.
The combat of The Legend of Heroes Kai no Kiseki -Farewell O Zemuria- has the same general features as the past two entries, with the addition of the new Awakening and B.L.T.Z. (Blitz) System mechanics. Awakened states occur while exploring, and some examples are when Van enters his Grendel form and when Domininos utilize their Stigmas. These transformations generally increase stats.
The new Blitz system occurs during command battles when you perform standard attacks, Crafts, or Arts after receiving the Blitz turn bonus. This will result in a follow-up attack or enhanced Crafts or Arts, depending on the Blitz type. Healing, other supportive moves, and even items are also affected by Blitz. ZOC and Dual Arts are other new combat mechanics.
