Headware Games released a new trailer revealing that their survival horror adventure, Hollowbody, will be released on PC via Steam and GOG on September 12, 2024. The trailer revealed the game’s classic Resident Evil inspirations and some of the environments players will need to investigate.
Hollowbody has players take control of Mica, an unlicensed black-market shipper searching for her missing partner. This leads her to an exclusion zone where she is stranded and alone with limited resources. The game is meant to be completed in 4 – 5 hours, which mirrors the classic entries in this genre.
She needs to find a way out. Call for evac, scale the walls. Something. Anything. Survive.
Hollowbody features classic survival horror gameplay with a blend of dynamic and fixed camera angles. Players must solve logic puzzles to progress the campaign, which requires resource management to get through nightmarish encounters. The game also features voice acting and difficulty options to be more accessible to new genre players. Lastly, the game has Save Points to ease the difficulty, but post-game unlocks and features open as you complete scenarios of the adventure.
We’ll follow the release of Hollowbody. For now, you should check out the trailer, which quickly caught our eye following this announcement. Other platforms have not been announced at this time.
