THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games have announced that their action RPG Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 15, 2024. This title is available on Switch and PC via Steam.
Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition features various improvements over the original release. In particular, the DLC is included and integrated into the game; the overall balancing and loot distribution have been reworked, the graphic render engine has been enhanced for higher visual quality in lighting and shadows, and more.
This upcoming port will feature 4K resolution, ray tracing, haptic feedback on PlayStation 5, and improved loading times. This release will cost $29.99 / €29.99, and pre-orders before October 14 will provide a 50% discount. Users of the PlayStation 4 game will receive a free upgrade.
During Darksiders II, players assume the role of Death, one of the most feared members of the legendary Four Horseman. As he carves his path through the game’s story, players can customize their experience by leveling up and upgrading Death’s skill tree and weapons. The game features an open world where players can take on side quests alongside the main mission, yielding greater rewards.

Darksiders III takes place during the events of Darksiders II. Players will explore the world as Fury and gain access to her full arsenal of magic abilities as well as her weapon, a whip. The game features hack-and-slash combat as the player must fight their way through multiple levels and learn more about the state of a war-torn planet Earth.
