Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have announced that their action-adventure game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has achieved five million players worldwide. Congratulations to the development team on this feat.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty follows a nameless militia soldier fighting for survival in a dark fantasy version of the Later Hand Dynasty. Demons plague the Three Kingdoms, and our hero must fight them off using swordplay based on Chinese martial arts.
The game is a joint creation by Team Ninja producers Fumihiko Yasuda (Nioh) and Masaaki Yamagiwa (Bloodborne).
The narrative follows this hero through a unique story based on the Three Kingdoms. Defeating enemies will boost morale and awaken a special power in the hero as players take on challenges using the Five Phases of battle styles. Plenty of customization is one of the primary selling points.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The Complete Edition, featuring the three major post-launch DLCs, is also available. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition is also available.
Players can experience the “Battle of Zhongyuan,” “Conqueror of Jiangdong,” and “Upheaval in Jingxiang” DLC packs alongside the new endgame content, “The Thousand-Mile Journey.” The lattermost features “new characters from the armies of Cao Cao, Sun Ce, and Liu Bei” with the new cestus, long sword, and whip weapon types, new stages, Divine Beasts, higher difficulty levels, and additional functionalities.
