Senior Community Lead Megan Spurr shared an announcement via Xbox Wire confirming that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be available on day one for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard, many were wondering if the company would launch such a high-profile game for free for Game Pass users, and the answer is “Yes.” Regardless if the subscription model hasn’t turned a profit for the company, it seems like a decent move to try and make Xbox the home of Call of Duty once again. This is a reference to the series earlier entries being prodomently played by Xbox gamers due to the online experience.
If you’re a Game Pass subscriber, does this make you more interested in playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6? Alternatively, if not, does this make you want to be a subscriber? Or do you just not care?
The full reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will take place at the Xbox Games Showcase on Sunday, June 9, at 10 AM PT, followed by a Black Ops 6 Direct. This announcement came earlier today with the unredacted key art of the game introducing the intriguing message “The Truth Lies.”
As part of the build-up, Urzikstan Operators are advised to inspect ground loot for the 9MM Daemon Handgun starting May 29, with a challenge to defeat an enemy using this sidearm to unlock a special Blueprint. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for more updates and prepare for an experience where “Nothing is as what it seems.”
We’ll keep you updated on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 updates. The game has not been confirmed for other platforms at this time, but it’s expected to be released on all platforms as some leaks have pointed out.
